Robocars Wiki Editing Guide

To prevent spam and assure quality, editors must have accounts. Contact Brad Templeton for one. (Eventually userids from the Robocars blog will work on the wiki.)

When creating pages about teams, companies and products, the “+” ICON in the editing toolbar lets you select templates for those sorts of pages. Please follow those outlines.

  • Avoid editing pages about yourself or your company. Send it to another contributor to enter. You can correct minor errors but steer clear of marketing or PR changes.
  • The goal is not to duplicate Wikipedia. If a topic is well covered there, use the InterWiki syntax topic to link there, and add Robocar specific details on the page here.
  • Make sure you have full rights to insert any images, and attribute them. Images from company press kits are generally OK with attribution.
  • Editorial opinions of companies and issues can be included but it should be clear what they are and they must be signed. Consider putting them on a side page you link to.
